Dr. Keith Olive is a distinguished McKnight University Professor at the University of Minnesota. His research areas are high energy physics and properties of matter. Joining us from Princeton University is Professor James Peebles, theoretical cosmologist. Professor Peebles has made many important contributions to the big bang model. With Robert Dicke he predicted the cosmic microwave background radiation. Dr. Peebles lectured at the University this week at the Fine Theoretical Physics Institute.
We'll be discussing the evolution of the universe, current theories about dark matter,  and Keith's specialty — supersymmetry. Will the Large Hadron Collider really find the Higgs Boson — and why do we care? And closer to home — the MINOS neutrino experiment in northern Minnesota — what's that about. All this and more and just in one hour.
