MonsterTalk is the science show about monsters—a free audio podcast that critically examines the science behind cryptozoological (and legendary) creatures, such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, or werewolves.
Join us this Sunday as we speak with Blake Smith, one of the hosts of MonsterTalk, about the tricks and tools that he uses to think critically about claims of the supernatural.

Atheists Talk radio and podcast is a communications service of Minnesota Atheists. Our volunteer producers, hosts, interviewers, and contributors are committed to presenting topics of interest to atheists and humanists. Topics include, but are not limited to, general atheism and humanism, separation of church and state, science, religion, gender, race, culture, and the arts.
This Sunday we're going to get to better know one of our newer Atheists Talk interviewers, Maddy Love. Maddy began interviewing with Atheists Talk in August 2015, but she's no newbie to podcasting. She is the creator of A Minnesota Trans Atheist Podcast, a show that she started in 2013, and which is dedicated to speaking about topics of interest to, and to people involved with, the trans, atheism, skepticism and science communities. Her podcast can be found on iTunes and Stitcher (among others), and is part of The Queer Life network, linked below.
Maddy grew up in Washington state and moved to Burnsville, MN when she was in the 8th grade. She comes from a fundamentalist background and she'll be speaking this Sunday about her journey from there to here: An atheist radio show host, and an advocate for science, skepticism and transgender activism.

Dan Barker returns to Atheists Talk this Sunday to discuss his recently published book, God: The Most Unpleasant Character in All Fiction. The title is adapted from a chapter in The God Delusion, by Richard Dawkins. In Dan Barker's book, he expounds on what exactly makes God the most unpleasant character in all of fiction. From the book description on Amazon:
What words come to mind when we think of God? Merciful? Just? Compassionate? In fact, the Bible lays out God’s primary qualities clearly: jealous, petty, unforgiving, bloodthirsty, vindictive—and worse! ... Barker combs through both the Old and New Testament (as well as thirteen different editions of the “Good Book”), presenting powerful evidence for why the Scripture shouldn’t govern our everyday lives. This witty, well-researched book suggests that we should move past the Bible and clear a path to a kinder and more thoughtful world.
Dan Barker is a former Christian evangelical who is well known for his atheist activism. He is an author, speaker, community organizer, musician and debater. He is the current co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, an organization that promotes the separation of church and state and educates the public on matters relating to atheism, agnosticism, and nontheism.
We hope that you will join us this Sunday for our discussion with Dan Barker.

The vision of the Humanists of Minnesota is for all of us to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment and contribute to the greater good of humanity and the planet through science, reason, compassion and creativity. Some of the work on which the Humanists of Minnesota focus is to educate the public on humanist and naturalist worldviews, promote the use of the democratic process, scientific inquiry, critical thinking and moral reasoning to support a secular society, advocate for the separation of church and state, champion human rights, global ethics and planetary sustainability, cultivate personal growth, humanist values and ethical decision-making and create and sustain a caring humanist community.
Audrey Kingstrom is the current president of the Humanists of Minnesota, and she will join us this Sunday morning to discuss the history of Humanists of MN, their service projects and social actions, the community that many Humanist Minnesotans call home.
